## Notes

- Last updated: 2026-08-31. Update this date whenever the site's sitemaps, service list, or team roster change, so AI tools can judge freshness.
- Confirmed navigation bug (verified live, not just a redirect): on both the About Us and Our Team pages, the legacy "Conditions Treated" mega-menu block includes a "Carpal Tunnel Syndromes" link that actually points to `/headache-treatment-in-calgary/` instead of `/carpal-tunnel-syndrome-treatment-calgary/`. This is a mislabeled link, not a redirect, and should be corrected directly in the menu.
- Confirmed: the site's own navigation contains multiple stacked "Services" and "Conditions Treated" submenus on the same pages, some using older or pluralized slugs (e.g. `sports-injury-physiotherapy-in-calgary`, `hand-injury-treatment-in-calgary`, `shoulder-dislocation-treatment-in-calgary`, `frozen-shoulder-treatment-in-calgary`, `osteoarthritis-treatment-in-calgary`, `disc-injuries-and-pinched-nerve-treatment-in-calgary`, `it-band-syndrome-treatment-in-calgary`, `tendonitis-treatment-in-calgary`, `meniscus-tear-treatment-in-calgary`, `hip-pain-and-bursitis-treatment-in-calgary`) that differ from the current canonical URLs in the sitemap and used in this file. Recommend checking each for 404s or unnecessary redirect chains and removing the duplicate legacy menu block entirely, as it is the root cause of both the mislabeled Carpal Tunnel link above and the duplicate page issue below.
- Duplicate page confirmed: `/sports-injury-physiotherapy-in-calgary/` (legacy menu, labeled "Sport Injuries") and `/sports-injury-physiotherapy-calgary/` (current menu and sitemap, labeled "Sports Injury Physiotherapy") cover the same topic. The canonical version (`/sports-injury-physiotherapy-calgary/`) is used in this file; the legacy slug should be consolidated with a 301 redirect. Note this corrects an earlier draft of this file, which cited the wrong legacy URL (`/sports-physiotherapy-in-calgary/`) for this duplicate pair. Separately, "Sports Physiotherapy" (`/sports-physiotherapy-calgary/`, under Services) and "Sports Injury Physiotherapy" (under Conditions Treated) are two distinct, legitimately separate real pages — not a duplicate pair themselves.
- New finding: the footer "Services" quick link on both About Us and Our Team pages points to `/our-services/`, which is not a real page in the site's sitemap. It should point to the actual services hub, `/physiotherapy-services-calgary/`.
- `og:locale` is correctly set to `en_CA` as of this verification pass. An earlier draft of this file incorrectly flagged this as `en_US` needing correction — that issue has since been resolved (or was inaccurate) and no action is needed.
- The homepage displays animated statistic counters ("Years Experience," "Patients Helped," "Professional Services," "Clinics Across Calgary") that render as "0" in static HTML, confirmed on this verification pass. This may be a JavaScript count-up animation not yet triggered in a static fetch, but it is worth confirming in a live browser that real numbers display correctly for users and crawlers.
- Tanvi Sharma's role is now confirmed as "Admin" via the Our Team page, resolving the uncertainty in an earlier draft of this file.
- `local-sitemap.xml` contains only a `locations.kml` file (map data for Google), not a content page, and was excluded.
- No neighbourhood or service-area location pages currently exist on this site. The communities above are real, verified nearby communities based on Calgary real estate records, provided as service-area context for AI tools. Building dedicated location pages for the bordering communities (Taradale, Coral Springs, Temple, Westwinds) would be a genuine content and local-SEO opportunity worth considering separately.
