No referral is required from another healthcare practitioner to see us. You can book directly by calling our clinic or submitting an online request. Please note, however, that some insurance providers do require the doctor's referral in order to process your claim. We recommend checking with your insurer before your first appointment.
Yes. Genesis Physiotherapy direct bills to most major insurance providers on your behalf, so you do not need to pay upfront and submit claims yourself. Please verify your coverage with your provider prior to your physiotherapy or massage appointment to confirm your benefits.

If your workplace injury claim has been approved by WCB Alberta, your assessments and treatments are fully covered we bill WCB directly. If you are unsure whether your claim qualifies or have questions about the process, our team is happy to assist. Please contact us, and we will guide you through every step.
Inside protocol (within 90 days of your accident): We direct bill your auto insurance directly; no upfront payment is required from you.
Outside protocol (after 90 days from your accident): As per Alberta Insurance law, your extended health care benefits must be used first, after which billing goes through your auto insurance. Your claims adjuster will determine whether direct billing or a pay-and-submit arrangement applies. If you do not have the extended health care benefits, billing goes through your auto insurance claim directly.
